Proudly housing a huge collection of nearly one lakh and fifty thousand objects in its galleries, the museum is a sight to droll over at night. Admire the various artworks of the museum which cover two floors with its objects and displays. Among its various exhibits, the highlight of the museum gets stuck on the Exhibition of Treasures of the Tianjin Museum which finds its place on the second floor of the building. Consisting of a total of 106 pieces, out of which the exhibition holds around ninety Grade One National Treasures which are bestowed as the highest category of culturally importance relics. It showcases the tireless efforts of the collectors and museum donors who have contributed immensely to the preservation of China's cultural tradition over many centuries. Embrace a terrific collection of classic paintings, outstanding calligraphy, delicately carved ceramics, and inkstones which formed a part of former Tianjin Art Museum and the Tianjin Historical Museum. The top floor of the museum is devoted to the displays concerning and representing the rich history of Tianjin from the time of its origin till date.

As you step in at the grounds of the marketplace, you will be welcomed by the Goddess of Peace sculpture which finds its place at the center of the place. Built to commemorate the victory of World War I, the iconic sculpture is a magnificent masterpiece of renowned sculptor Giuseppe Boni. With a height of 13.6 meters, the sculpture is made of granite and symbolizes the eternal theme of friendship and peace. The entire structure comprises of a fountain pool along with a pedestal which is decorated with four European figures, along with the bronze statue of the goddess of peace flying with wings at the top of the structure. An olive branch in the hands of the deity looks alluring, and the entire texture lies in perfect sync with the Italian style design. Along with this sculpture the plaza also owns six other typical villas depicting the Mediterranean culture and style.
