Patuxai, translated to as the Gate of Triumph or the Gate of Victory, was previously called as the Anosavari Monument. The construction of the gate began in 1957 and was completed in the year 1968. The gate is made of integrated concrete entirely and is a owned by the government of Laos. The design of the gate is Laotian and has in scriptures of mythological creatures like a half female, half bird creature: the Kinnari. The gate is located in the Lang Xang Avenue. The monument has been dedicated o the hundreds of people that lost their lives in the second world war.
Pha That Luang is stupa of which is covered in gold and is huge in structure. The architectural style of the stupa originates from the culture of Lao. There are three levels in the stupa. The centre is also a member of the National Rehabilitation Centre and the centre also houses a number of interesting exhibits about UXO which means unexploded ordnance and prosthetics.
